Terroir Napa Valley today functions as the 2nd label for Napa's Gibbs Napa Valley winery. Terroir Napa Valley is usually crafted solely from the estate's "2nd tier" fruit but this year they’ve incorporated grapes from an outstanding Oakville site. Always a fantastic wine and one of the best Napa Cabs we've tasted recently under $50. The current release may be the best one yet! This wine is a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and hints of Malbec and Cabernet Franc. A nose of blackberry, cassis, and chocolate with hints of vanilla gives way to a deep palate of dark cherry, ripe plum, and mocha.
