Its Origins
Paritua Vineyards is located on Maraekakaho Road in the heart of the Hawkes Bay 'Triangle’ District, one of New Zealand's most diverse regions for the production of both premium red and white grapes. The vineyard Paritua as a tribute to the Paritua Stream, which meanders gently through the land. It is a name that also acknowledges the connection with the land and the people of New Zealand. Inspiration for the name 'Stone Paddock' came from the free-draining, stony soils that make up Paritua Vineyards. The stones featured on the Stone Paddock label were gathered from the Syrah and Cabernet blocks. In July 2008, talented winemaker Jason Stent joined the Paritua team, working over 120 acres of vineyards.

"Bright, pale straw yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is softly poised with aromas of flint, stonefruit, citrus zest, almond and delicate spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of grapefruit and zest intermixed with young apricot, almond, vanilla and cardamon. The mouthfeel is smooth with a buoyant, creamy mouthfeel; fine acidity carries zest and spice to linearity. This Chardonnay possesses a poised, creamy mouthfeel with delicate spice and a zesty core.
