Domain :

By establishing a flourishing cloth and linen business in Burgundy in 1731 and then developing a wine brokerage business, Michel Bouchard was at the origin of the family's Burgundian roots. His eldest son Joseph took over in 1750 and established the Bouchard family in Côte d'Or.

As close as possible to men and the vine, they have developed a unique know-how, the profession of merchant - winemaker - breeder with the sole concern of the constant search for quality, authenticity in style and prestige in the name. This has been the mission of Maison Bouchard Aîné & Fils for over two centuries.

The history of the great families of Burgundy wine merchants is rich and complex. However, at present, few of them remain in business. Maison Bouchard Aîné & Fils is an exception, along with a few others, which can boast more than two centuries of history.
